Erica Yang, MS, MTOM, L.Ac
Erica Yang integrates biomedical science and East Asian Medicine to deliver precise, individualized care for patients with complex digestive and chronic conditions. Erica has Master's Degrees in both East Asian Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Having worked at Kaiser Permanente and City of Hope, she bridges conventional and integrative medicine with scientific rigor.

At Empowered You Acupuncture, Erica specializes in treating IBS, SIBO, chronic pain, and chronic fatigue syndromes. Her approach blends acupuncture with herbal and lifestyle medicine to restore balance to the gut–brain–immune axis and help patients regain reliability in their health.
In addition to providing patient care, Erica is passionate about advancing the field through research. Her mission is to give patients predictable, lasting improvements in digestive health so they can move forward with confidence in their daily lives.

Dr. Joshua Park, DSOM, L.Ac
Dr. Joshua Park is a digestive health specialist and among the first in North America to receive a clinical doctorate in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine. He trained at the National University of Natural Medicine, studying with leading physicians from Korea, China, Europe, and the United States.

He later served in the Memorial Healthcare System’s Division of Integrative Medicine in South Florida, collaborating with MDs on complex cases of digestive disorders, autoimmune disease, and chronic pain. Today, Dr. Park maintains a clinical focus on IBS, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, functional dyspepsia, and chronic infections.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Park teaches in the doctoral program at Virginia University of Integrative Medicine and is active in research on East Asian Medicine and gut health. His systematic, step-by-step approach helps patients resolve underlying causes and restore lasting reliability to their digestive health.
